Default Forum Members' Giveaways

Mod Note:
A good way to clear your shelves of unwanted or unneeded comics, graphic novels or comic-related gubbins...pass 'em on to your fellow forum members!

Remember, though, SFX can't allow any unauthorised advertising, buying or selling of goods on the site, so giveaways only, if you please. Also, please remember to keep details of mailing-addresses, etc., to private e-mails, rather than posting them on the Forum. Keep your personal details personal, folks.

And thanks to Thing for getting the ball rolling...

I recently upgraded my paperback of Watchmen for the absolute edition, so I don't need it any more. It's as new.

Nobody I know who's into comics doesn't own it already, and for the couple of quid I'd get for it on ebay I'd rather just give it away to someone who might get some pleasure from it.

Ideally I think it would be nice to give it to someone who hasn't got it it already, and has never read it. Or someone who may like it, but maybe they're studying at the moment or something and may not have the cash to treat themselves. Alternatively maybe you are/you know a comic fan who's a bit in the dumps and could use a pick me up (not that Watchmen is the most uplifting of reads!). Whatever the circumstances if you already have it please leave this for others to have a chance.

I can cover postage to the UK, but if anyone from overseas wins they will have to pay postage themselves.

I can't imagine there's many on this forum who don't own it already, but anyone who would like it please reply to the thread and I'll pull a name out of a hat in a week or so if there are any responses.

SFX staff. I hope this is alright. I thought it would be okay as I'm not actually selling it. If there's a problem please let me know, or just lock it.

I feel great shame in admitting I do not have it and have never read it! I would happily give it a new home.

I've had it sat on my shelf for years! I've just never got round to actually reading it!

I'll check with the Mods on High, but I don't see there being any problems, Thing - as long as nothing is being advertised, bought or sold using the forum as a marketplace, I see no reason for objection.

If all is well, I'll change the title of this thread - and forum members can off-load their unwanted or unneeded comic-related tat, accordingly.

Anyone interested in 1:43rd scale Corgi Batmobiles? I was given several at Christmas, some of which are now gathering dust in the upper shelves of my book-case...but I have a '40s, a '50s and a '60s Batmobile going spare
