Default Re: What book are you reading right now?

I have just finished A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin. I will move on to A Storm of Swords tomorrow.

It's so frustrating not being able to go anywhere on the internet to discuss these books for fear of spoilers. It seems that most forums on the internet have a Game Of Thrones TV thread ("No book spoilers!") and possibly a book series thread ("Discussion for people who have read ALL the books!") But where can a person discuss being at a mid point in the series?

I'm having to avoid ALL promotional material for A Dance With Dragons, in case it passively spoils anything in books 2, 3 and 4 by setting the scene for book 5. This is why I can't even afford to read back-cover blurbs.

I'm a slow reader, so it's going to take a couple more months before I can check out the thread for the book series. It's a lot of work.

hi SquekyGibson,

have you considered audio books? It might speed up the process a little for you - and mean you can resume normal life ;0)

I borrowed Retribution Falls from the library out of the curiosity after you mentioned it the other day, and I look forward to having a read of it soonish.

Just finished The Windup Girl and put it back in the shop, now reading Robocalypse by Daniel Wilson, then I am waiting for new SFX and Special edition before starting new Connie Willis.

And then I woke up and wrote this instead.

I'm reading John Dies at the End , by “David Wong", (not his real name), which according to the front cover, is "soon to be a major movie!"

I do hope so, because it's brilliant.

Deadline, sequel to Feed by Mira Grant. Yet another zombie book, because I just don't have enough nightmares about zombies. And the first one was really good, conspiracy and murder in a post zombie apocalyptic world, mostly told through blogs.
