Finished THE DIG (it was very short!).
Now reading David Daniell's THE INTERPRETER'S HOUSE: A CRITICAL ASSESSMENT OF JOHN BUCHAN (because I'm very fascinated by Buchan's work).

Reading Robopocalypse. It's ok, written in the same style as World War Z. Not as good, feels a bit flat and obvious

Just finished Eoin Colfer's 'And Another Thing...' which was a bit pants, really. It had a disconcerting smugness which Douglas Adams' original tales (and most HHGTTG fan-fictions I've encountered over the years) lack. Colfer has an undoubted skill with words, but the whole thing really added nothing to the mythology he'd been asked to extend.

A Matter Of Blood: The Dog Faced Gods (Pt#1) by Sarah Pinborough.
Also re-reading The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell.

The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler - first time I've read him. On the plus side I loved the turn of phrase. I've heard so many joke versions of the Private Eye it's nice to see the original and it's zippy and poetic. You get a feel for the grimy LA of the 30's. - the pace keeps going. But the plot is a bit all over the place and the exposition to explain things feels a bit cumbersome - will be reading more though

I is having me a read of Echo City by Tim Lebbon. A new author to me, and I'm pretty impressed so far.
