Oh dear Bill Pullman will play the president in the new "Comedy" series 1600....this is the second white house comedy series with Armando Iannucis VEEP being renewed for a second season by HBO after only two episodes.
So Alcatraz has been cancelled , well so has the Bones spin off The Finder....Law and Order SVU meanwhile has been renewed for a fourteenth season What's interesting about Touch Being renewed is that it smacks slightly of keeping the project alive because of the talent not the quality of the series.....the show is at 2.0 which for Fox is deeply disappointing (24 In it's last season performed far better than this) and if it continues to dip like this will end up easily in the cancellation box by next mid-season. |

Bloody hell it's all going down in tv this week as we head into the the summer,,,
ABC : Has dropped Cougar Town which is transferring to TBS, Fans of Nathan Fillion will be delighted to know Castle has been renewed as has new revenge themed series...Revenge (Hey so it doesn't have an original title) even though it wasn't performing strongly on the ratings...The Middle has been renewed as has the bane of sfx tv reviews this year Once Upon a Time The River is still on the bubble but from the final episodes figures and the way it's been talked about looks likely for Cancellation Ironically PAN AM (Which has been cancelled)took the best series award at the Rose D'or television awards . Hmmm and finally how long will this title last ...Dan Foglemans new Sci Fi comedy for ABC about a family that moves into a high class estate in New Jersey only to discover that all the other families around them are Aliens has gotten a title...It's called....NEIGHBOURS..The question is how long before they get a phonecall from lawyers representing a certain network in Australia? FOX: Has added five new shows to it's roster three sitcoms and two dramas .There's the subtly titled Mob Doctor (In which a young thorasic Surgeon whose life long debt ot the chicago mobs is called in (See subtle) and the one of most interest to SFX readers The Following with Kevin Bacon playing an FBI agent hunting a serial killer (James Purefoy) who is secretly commands an army of other Serial Killers. Fox is also renewing Family Guy and American Dad but has postponed a decision on renewing the Cleveland Show. CBS meanwhile is suing ABC over their new show Glass House which CBS claims is a rip off of their American Big Brother. NBC:Harry's law (Starring Kathy Bates) the second highest rated show on the network meanwhile has yet to be renewed ..it's looking likely it will be bought back as a thirteen episode mid season show which reinforces the change of policy on lengths of season that NBC appears to be going through. Speaking of which Community has been renewed (Again for Thirteen episodes) the show which carries heavy influences from Science Fiction and Fantasy does have one problem and that is the incredibly bitter public feud between Showrunner and creator Dan Harmon and Co-Star Chevy Chase (How bad is it? It seems at the wrap party for this season Harmon publicly lambasted Chase in front of cast and crew and ended his speech with a cry of "F**K you Chevy" and urged the rest of the cast and crew to do so as well.....problem was Chase was with his wife and daughter at the party and had to leave. Many of the cast and crew criticised Harmon for his actions , while Chase then left a expletive filled message on Harmons answering Machine which Harmon posted on the net?!?!?" It's looking likely that one of the two men will be asked to leave the show and it may well be Harmon. |

I'm working on this show this season, so I guess I have gainful employment for at least the first 9 weeks of the season ![]() Now I have to fly back to my old town and work on asking the Mayor for some more road closures and whether he has any buildings that he wouldn't mind see burning down
