Ugh, I actually spent £7.99 on this. I was daft enough to let the wonderful return to form that was the Doctor Who Fanzine special blind me to the obvious; Yet another pointless poll, yet more exorbitant "free" crap, yet again SFX phones it in. Is it any bloody wonder I stopped buying the monthly mag.

Erm... yes. Let me just go and do a bit of research into how that happened...

I loved this special.

At the start I had a guess at what the top five would be...and guessed it exactly right, but they were actually #6-#2. Forgot about Blade Runner!

Angry Re: SFX Special 56: The Top 100 Movies

Hi there.

I think the first thing I noticed when I opened my copy today, is that it must have been packed by a blind chimp, with only thumbs, as the Poster and Stickers were folded and bent to ridicules degrees, and the Magazine was a little damaged as well.

You wouldn't have thought it by the outer card cover, as that was fine, and this is the 2nd time in a row, that this has happened with a Special that I have bought, and I am starting to wonder if its worth the £7.99 that I paid for it, its not that I overly mind the damaged poster (but the Damaged and Un-usable Stickers, is annoying), its more to do with the princible of it.

Its bugging to say the least.

FM.

Hi FM

Can you let us know where you bought it - what store and location? This is a genuine worry and we're very sad to hear it. I'd like to look into it and see if it's something we can address.

I don't think we have any replacement stickers or posters to hand to send you, but if you drop me an email with your details I'll ask the production team and see if they can help.

Cheers, Dave

So...I'm reading Number 46....and I'm pretty sure Joseph Fiennes from Shakespeare in Love never took over as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named after 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.' Oh great SFX Lords! By the power of RALPH FIENNES I demand a correction of this ultimate grievance! lol.

Smile Re: SFX Special 56: The Top 100 Movies

Hi again.

After my rant in an above post, I just wanted to say something about the actual content of the Magazine Special itself.

I feel that the latest SFX Special 56 (Top 100 Movies) magazine itself was very well put together with a nice amount of info about each movie, with the info expanding as the movies go down through the numbers, and I think the only thing I would have added is a line under each entry saying if the film is currently available on DVD.
So good work, SFX. :-)

FM.
