Default Game of Thrones

Any good? I like the Cornwell 'Arthur' trilogy.

Yes. As good if not better than the show.

Cool, I will read the copy I've got knocking around then. I have read Derfel Cadarn to death. Something similarly bloody, chivalric, and full of political wrangling will be great.

Thanks for the quick response.

If you love Cornwell's Arthur stories have you tried his Saxon stories?

Very similar to Derfel's story at the start - except here the main character called Uhtred is a Saxon raised as a Dane - but soon takes a broader scope and has the bonus of being set around actual known events (rather than assumed events).

And I second what Knappos says about Game Of Thrones, it is a must read for a fantasy fan.

GRRM is a big WARLORD CHRONICLES fan. If you google it, there's even a great article out there where Martin interviews Cornwell.
