You don't like it but still give it over half marks in you scheme?
I'd give it an extra point , just for the line " You cock juggling thunder **** ! " !

So 6.5/10 .

Hopscotch - a daft '70s caper-movie, with Walter Mattau as a disgruntled former CIA agent. Very silly, but slickly executed. Surprised no-one has tried to turn it into a TV series, as it would be ideally suited to adaptation

Safe House 1998

Patrick Stewart in an excellent movie thats not even remotely sci-fi.An ex-intellegence agent who is suffering from Parkinsons disease.Stewart is just amazing as a man who was in conrol once but now is losing it bit by bit.
Saw it years ago and was very happy to watch it again. 4/5

State of Play - the 2009 one with Russell Crowe rather than John Simm.

Good but made me want to go back and watch the tv version.

The most amusing part of the whole film was when they attempted to make Matthew McConaughey look young. Michael Douglas did a fair enough turn I guess.

You know, I really like Trinity. It's probably my favourite Blade film (just edging out the first one mind) as I didn't have much love at all for the second, despite my huge man-crush on Del Toro's movies. And although it is hamstrung by a lame Dracula, and it squanders a couple of really interesting plot points (Blade as a mass murderer anyone) and the direction is schizophrenic at best, it still has a lot going for it. Some of which is embodied in Jessica Biel, admittedly, but you try and tell me I'm the only one who likes films for the pretty ladies in them (or pretty blokes if you're that way inclined).

Blade (3/5)
Blade 2 (2/5)
Blade Trinity (4/5)

Tonight I have watched Mallrats (5/5) (for about the millionth time) and
Flight Of The Living Dead (3/5) but it fulfilled its purpose admirably. And contains a hilarious comedy decapitation.

Deep Rising, which is basically Alien onboard a luxury cruise liner, featuring as it does many mutated underwater slugs which first polish off most of the crew and passengers, then munch their way through most of the cast of pirates and their hostages who are unfortunate enough to arrive onboard shortly thereafter.
Directed by Stephen Sommers, the year before he hit the big time with The Mummy, it features much CGI and a surprisingly decent cast as well as a score by Jerry Goldsmith.

Something of a guilty please, this film; everytime I watch it I think 'by all rights this film should suck' but there's something about it that keeps me entertained. It may not do anything overly original, but it does do it well!
