Angels and Demons okayish film 3 out of 5 Stars
It took a while to get goiing I thought. and to be honest some of the characters were uneccessary. Still it picked up pace towars the end. Highlander: The Source poor 2 out of 5 stars This is the worst film in the series yet ( yes worst than Highlander 2). However I liked the character of the guardian, but ths is not enough to redeem it. Warning - Do not watch this film. Vantage Point V. Good 4 out of 5 Stars Loved this film, lots of explosions, guns and car chases,- all told from different perspectives. Very enjoyable. The Incredible Hulk Another okayish film 3 out of 5 stars Saw this last night and thought it was pretty good. It was a bit boring in places but I Loved the action scenes especially when he fought the Abomination. "HULK SMASH" |

Zodiac: Directrors Cut. I really enjoyed this. Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal need to be in more films together as I found their double act in the first half of the film really interesting and, as odd as it may seem given the subject of the film, fun. It's certainly my favourite performance of Gyllenhall's, possibly in part because I could see my fascination for the Whitechapel Murders case reflected in his characters obsession for the Zodiac killer and I could relate, to a degree. On a par with Se7en. 5/5
30 Days of Night. Fun, if slightly predictable. It's good to see vampires being dangerous instead of angsty, and it's a shame that Twishite came along and reversed the trend again, but it's nowt overly special. 3/5 Dark City: Directors Cut. This was my first time watching it and, while I did enjoy it, I think it's a film I'll need to watch again before I can truly make my mind up about. It's really beautifully shot and the sets are magnificent. 3.5/5 so far. |

Auto Focus (2002), renowned writer/director Paul Schrader takes on the life of one of the most famous TV stars of the 1960's, and it also tackles the subject of the price of fame, and the hardships that can follow if you go down the wrong paths and hang out with the wrong type of people. It's an engaging film, with 2 good leads giving their best. The film follows the life and career of Bob Crane (Greg Kinnear), a radio DJ and sometimes actor, who achieved worldwide fame when he was offered the lead role in the POW TV comedy Hogan's Heroes. It was while making the show that Crane met studio technician John Carpenter (Willem Dafoe). Carpenter gets Crane interested in VHS, a rising technology, and Crane, already interested in photography, buys a video camera, and proceeds to make home movies. But, Carpenter is a seedy character, and he helps turn Crane into a sex addict, which destroys his family life and his career. It's an offbeat little biopic, but it's well made. Kinnear is great as Crane, and Dafoe is wonderfully seedy. The film is interesting look at what an addiction can do, (the daydream sequences add a surreal quality), but it's a good watch. Consider it a cautionary tale... 4/5
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1161/2101191020a.jpg Drag Me To Hell (2009), Sam Raimi returns to the genre that helped make him famous originally, horror. Now, this film is nothing like The Evil Dead or it's sequels. But, there hasn't been a horror film this fun in years!! Sam Raimi may have found BIG fame with the Spiderman films, but on the strength of this film, he should be making WAY more horror films!! It has young loans officer Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), being struck with a curse by the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver), after Christine refused to grant an extension on Ganush's already outstanding loan. Christine starts to have dark visions, and she learns that in 3 days time, she'll be dragged down to hell. It starts to affect her relationship with Clay Dalton (Justin Long), or getting the Assistant Managers position at the bank where she works. She then calls upon the help of fortune reader Rham Jas (Dileep Rao). It's a brilliant horror film with real frights, a good, engaging plot and best of all, some of the funniest scenes you'll see in years!! It's great to see Raimi return to his roots with something like this, it's given him a new lease of life. Lohman is a great lead, and does well with alot of the horror and gore that goes on!! Even for a film with a low certificate, you can't believe what they got away with in this one!! More please Mr. Raimi!! 5/5http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9423/dragmetohellxlg.jpg

Watching snakes on a plane & just saw a man die from a snake biting his willy hehee x The last film I watched was The Burbs directed by the great Joe Dante, which was a huge amount of fun with many of his recurring actors making appearances in it and some great scenes.

Pieces
An early 80's slasher that's hilariously bad. Here's a taster of the great acting.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgLICoFgb2s As a film 0/5, as a so bad it's good piece of entertainment 4/5 JCVD Perhaps not the classic some make it out to be, but still very good. And Van Damme does deserve the praise he got. His performance is brilliant. 3.5/5 Martyrs One of the most gruelling films I've ever seen, but also one of the most compelling. If you can stomach the violence then I'd recommend this highly. It's hard work, but for me at least, it was worth it. 5/5 |
