Well that's just dowright funking awesome. I've watched it about 7 times now and I still can't get enough.

I've had quite a few thoughts, and I'm prepared to accept one or two of them might be a tad far fetched, but please tell me what you think.

Quote:
Does Bane defeat Batman early on, causing him to spend some of those 8 years in exile, and then purposefully wait for him to come back so he can see everything he cares for "in ashes" as he put it in the last trailer?

Is anyone else getting a No Man's Land vibe from the bridges being blown, someone drawing the bat logo on a wall with chalk and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the kid talking about Batman coming back? Could Bane's plan be to seal Gotham off from the rest of the world?

Although the first pictures of Catwoman have been around for ages now I was still hoping Nolan would've at some point gone for the hood & goggles look that she's had for the last decade or so. That mask isn't exactly the most cunning disguise, but then it's never let Robin down in 70 years.

Does anyone else think Cawoman might be filling the Carrie Kelley role?

"This isn't a car" is still making me laugh out loud in the same way as Hulk catching Iron Man when I first saw The Avengers trailer.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character John Blake has to be the most intriguing thing to come out of the new Dark Knight Rises trailer. Lot of people speculating...

he'll be Batman by the end of the movie.

Wee Little Puppet Man -- yeah I think your first sentence is a pretty good bet for act 1.

SoS -- Oooh, never thought of that; although having never read the comics I don't know the character at all, or what they represent.

Yeah, Nolan is kinda making his own mark with the characters, rather than sticking rigidly to a particular comic book adaptation, isn't he? A bold effort, and even though I'm not that huge a fan of them, I still appreciate that he's done an amazing job.

Totally agree. Whilst I'm not his biggest fan, I'm always more interested to see them do something different than to take them straight out of a specific storyline. Will be interesting to see how Nolan's successor handles it.
