Late one for Honey, now you've got your Batgirl sorted, but having given this thought in the past, there are a few ideas, but they may be slightly ambitious ( or daring ) Medusa (Clash of the Titans) could work, as the tail wouldnt really affect your movement, or the evil mermaids from the latest Pirates movie. could possibly whip you up a set of Dalek bumps similar to what I did for Baby Davros last year if you like.

Thanks for the offer - may take you up on the dalek bumps for next year, don't think I could outdo Baby Davros - he just stole the show. Mermaid is a thought for another year (have dressed up as one before), but I'd lose my carer if I went as medusa.

Ok so it looks very much like I am still going to be on crutches come the Weekender (damn stupid knee) so need ideas for costume now as all my original ones have gone out the window....toying with going as The Riddler as I 'should' be able to cope with the Saturday night on just one crutch/walking stick, but it never hurts to have a fallback.

Awwww gutted you're going to be on crutches for the Weekend. Though i'm sure you'll still manage to have a FAB time !!!

Ohhhhh!! I'm going as a Female Riddler so if you find yourself needing another 'walking stick' then just nab mine

Both of you should watch out for Batman then... not to mention a few of the other villians going around!

A costume that you can get away with crutches on... it's a toughie but for the masquerade I'm sure no one will mind if you wear which ever costume you want and still use your crutches. You can always put them aside whilst people take photos of you.

slight costume fail this week as the shirt I wanted to order from the US would have cost $80 inc postage. Eff that! I don't even pay that much for a shirt I'd wear regularly. Time to drum up a Plan B...

Re: crutches. Pick any costume, add a cast, a few bandages and go as a beaten up 'whoever' I imagine most action types spend alot of down-time in traction. Batman, stormtroopers, UNIT troops, whoever -they all get beaten up for a living. Has the advantage that people will remember it more - even if it's a common costume , putting a twist on it makes it your own
