All the Supercovers...er...apart from Action anyway...are up now. Alright, I suppose...I really like the Supergirl costume anyway.

Probably the same way Superman used to cut his hair. Heat vision and a mirror

I think it's one of those transfers you just stick on your arm and dab with warm water.
Latest rumours say Morrison is writing Action Comics (ARRRGH!)...but still, I really liked All Star Superman, so hopefully he can pull his head out of wherever it's been and write something that actually makes sense with Superman. Looking like I'll be getting around 25 of the 52 "new" series (probably more if my impulse buying action feature sets off)...it'll be kinda sad to see the end of Superman/Batman (which I may be the only fan of), but there's plenty to fill the void. Might even give Suicide Squad a go...

I'm actually quite excited by the whole thing, but then again I don't have much attachment to DC with the exception of Batman who they have appeared to have left alone to some extent. I think i'll be picking up a good number of the titles (more than I do now) and may even given digital a go.
These are the books that really jumped out to me mainly because of the creative teams Justice League Geoff Johns & Jim Lee Green Lantern Geoff Johns & Doug Mahnke Green Lantern: The New Guardians Tony Bedard, Tyler Kirkham Batman Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo - Snyder on anything at the moment will get picked up by me, Capullo doesn't hurt either Birds of Prey Duane Swierczynski & Jesus Saiz - Swierczynski is a must read for me Red Hood and The Outlaws Scott Lobdell & Kenneth Rocafort - One of the few concepts that felt a bit different Swamp Thing Scott Snyder, Yanick Paquette & Francesco Francavilla Animal Man Jeff Lemire, Travel Foreman & Dan Green- Justice League Dark Peter Milligan & Mikel Janin Demon Knights Paul Cornell, Diogenes Neves & Oclair Albert Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE Jeff Lemire & Alberto Poticelli Resurrection Man Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning & Fernando Dagnino Legion of Superheroes Paul Levitz & Francis Portela Stormwatch Paul Cornell & Miguel Sepulveda Blackhawks Mike Costa & Ken Lashley Sgt. Rock and the Men of War Ivan Brandon & Tom Derenick All-Star Western Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray & Moritat I guess we will be hearing about the superman books today, have to imagine that Morrisson will be one one of them. |

Yeah, I haven't been interested in Swamp Thing for a loooong time, but I'm definitely gonna try it out just because Snyder's writing. I'm looking forwarding to him continuing with Batman too....he's done a great job there. Same with Tony Daniel.
I'll definitely be getting: Justice League Teen Titans Action Comics Superman Superboy Supergirl Batman Detective Comics Batman: The Dark Knight Batwoman Red Hood And The Outlaws Nightwing Batman And Robin Green Lantern Green Lantern Corps Green Lanterns: New Guardians Red Lanterns Aquaman Flash Green Arrow Swamp Thing ...all the stuff I get now (I just realised Red Robin is gone...nooooo!), with a couple of variations and a few new ones. In the "maybe" category: Batgirl Batwing Birds Of Prey Deathstroke Justice League International Suicide Squad Justice League Dark A few new ones here too...and a few I wanna wait and see if they improve/weaken with the new teams (like Batgirl and BOP)

This may be where many titles and I part company. Chuck Dixon's 'Birds of Prey' was fun, but Gail Simone's was exemplary: she understood how to make second-string characters shine...and I'm not sure if the current team, and origin-gimmick will compare favourably. Like 'Teen Titans' and quite a number of other titles, 'BoP' is something I'll continue to follow for a month or so to see what the new teams have done to them, and how they fit into the new continuity - but I currently get 30 DCs, and two-thirds my regular purchases are either cancelled or on the wait-and-see list.
'Wonder Woman' by Azzarello? No chance. A fine writer, but one with a single decent female character in his created output - and sticking with the shitty Straczynski 'reinvention' (a bland, cliched creature that bears no relation to Marston's creation - I hope his estate sue) would have disinclined me from following this, anyway. |

I'll be getting:
Batman Detective Batwoman Batman Inc (Not part of the relaunch but I'll pick it up next year.) Justice League Action Comics I might try: Justice League Dark I'd be buying if they were by anyone else: The Dark Knight (Finch's workrate so far has been atrocious.) Hawk & Dove (Like any sane person's going to pick a Liefeld title up.)

Strewth! There's a bloke down there with no strides on, Superman's 'new' costume may reveal a little too much?

What in the name of Eisner have they done to poor Harley...?

Okay, I gotta know, what is with the hate for Liefield? Is he a bad artist/writer/all of the above?
