Bought a mess of Hitman comics including the last issue for 50p!
Plus a load of pre Knightfall era Bat comics and some older ones.

Just got the first 9 weeks of 52 (except 4 which was missing from Forbidden Planet AAARRGGHH!), started slow, getting sucked in a bit because the story focuses on the "minor" DC characters, that I dont really know too much about. Also is a History of the DC universe back up story in each issue.

Also got the two "new" X-men titles, (Uncanny and X-men) which are both part 1's of a new arcs/teams/writers. Not impressed by X-men art, Uncanny looks a better book and story arc. Both are pretty good starting point for new readers, or old readers that are picking the books up after a while..

These haven't proven too popular in my neck of the woods, if the load of em left on the shelves is anything to go by.
I flick through it. But I still think it's a swizz.

Batman #654
Detective Comics #821
Superman/ Batman#27 (why did I do it?)
Birds of Prey #95

You may have noticed a Batty-theme though the BoP gals are less Bat-related since their move from Gotham.

Off the shelf at Nostalgia & Comics and FP Birmingham I bought:

Battler Britton #1 (Garth Ennis does WWII again - excellent!)
Superman #654
Wonder Woman #1
Detective Comics #821 (The title that should've been All-Star Batman if the world was righteous.)

Ex Machina vol3: Fact Vs Fiction
Loveless Vol1: A Kin Of Homecoming
DMZ Vol1: On The Ground
Fables Vol7: Arabian Knights (And Days)

and from Amazon:
Green Arrow: Archer's Quest (finally read Identity Crisis, was totally blown away by it even though I'd had all the twists spoiled for me over time so went looking for more Brad Meltzer comics.)
Wonder Woman: Destiny Calling (the fourth collection of the Perez run)
Avengers: The Serpent Crown
Avengers: The Celestial Madonna

...and that's me just about tapped-out for the rest of the month.

Oh and to Daniel Fullard I'd say I'd have to disagree with The Horror!, you've got quite a few treats there. That Micronauts run is a forgotten classic, as is The New Defenders. The Phantom, The Knights Of Pendragon, Justice League Europe, The Butcher, Stalkers and Wilddog are all good and that issue of Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man is part of one of the best Spidey stories ever. Extended runs would've been nice, of course, but I think you've got quite a bit of enjoyable reading coming your way.

Currently buying mainly wildstorm stuff, Captain Atom (now finished) Wildc.a.t.s Nemisis (now finished) Team Zero (now finished) and Majestic (you'll never guess folks...now finished) have been keeping me busy for most of the year, and the "Re-boot" sounds quite exciting. Also been getting the Metal Gear books from IDW. They aint too bad (nice art too!). Have also recently bought Zombies from IDW too, which is kinda cool.

Bought the first four issues of the new blue beetle book...its shite. And bought the first 2 books from the Secret Six series which left me feeling kinda underwhelmed.

Still mostly good stuff.

Nice to hear...As I said those are just to give me a taste of other types of comics. The essentials I bought are the main starting block for me

I had a graphic-novel splurge on Monday, picking up Supreme Power: High Command, Kabuki: Skin Deep, Kabuki: Metamorphosis, Kabuki: Scarab (I'm really getting into David Mack's stuff), Avengers: World Trust (oooh for the days when the Avengers were...er...The Avengers), and 'Powerless'...along with a couple of BPRD mini-series.

When I'll get time to read 'em gawd only knows.

Hush returns? Have you not heard about how Lieberman and that story in particular are hated byBat fans and derided by most as poorly written crap? Send it back!
