SFX Weekender 3 - Accommodation at Pontin's Prestatyn

I've been having a nosy at some reviews of Prestatyn on Trip Advisor and Hotel Watchdog - big mistake!

They make it sound filthy and horrendous! I gather that the renovations are not complete yet.

But Ade has sent me a pic he took of a chalet which seems to have been done and it looks great.

I know many people had problems with Camber, but both times our chalet was clean and tidy, if dated.

I just hope I'm not sharing the sofa bed!

I agree that the chalets were a bit old fashioned but for me it's all part of the fun!

Considering I spent a grand total of about 12 hours in the room on each occasion I don't care. The weekend has bugger all to do with where I fall down and everything to do with what I'm doing the rest of the time.

Well, exactly.

I don't know why people get so stressed about it.

You're hardly in there, as long as it's clean and tidy, what's the problem?

I was just curious to see what upgrades they had done.

Although I have 2 newbies coming along, I don't want them thinking it's a dump either.

I'd like to second what kudos and verity have said, it's not like you're in there all the time and come on for what even VIP tickets cost you'd struggle to get 3 nights at most hotels!

Hello! This is my 1st post on this 'ere forum. So please.....be gentle.

I won tickets for the weekend of geek-ery (a GOOD thing) via cineworld. Me (and my missus & friends) are very much looking forward to it.

BUT..........i need a bit of help. WE obviously paid for accomodation for 4 of us. We paid £280. But.......i cannot, for the life of me, find my old emails to state what type of 'chalet' we got!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Im hoping its a 2 bed.........any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there i can only speak from experience but we've been the last 2 years and the chalets were similar.
First time there were 5 of us and we had 2 rooms with 2 sIngle beds and a sofa bed double in the living room.
Second time there were 6 of us in VIP and we got 1 room with 2 singles, one room with a bunk bed and a 2 person sofa bed in the living room.
This was however at the camber site so prestatyn may be a bit different.
