I love Glee but thought the Britney ep was bloody awful. No plot, terrible lip synching, crude (the stuff with the dude with the 'fro), just embarrassing. I think Britney (the character) is funny, but when she gets more than the odd one-liner, not so much.

Let's hope it gets back to normal next week.

Another very disappointing episode for me. When the show first started it was a comedy sprinkled with a few songs - now it's a load of songs with a bit of comedy sprinkled in. It's as if the network have told the producers "We want more songs in - we can sell them on iTunes and make a fortune! More songs!".

In the first season the songs fit in with the story and the theme of the episode. Now they seem to build the episode around whatever songs they think they can sell.

The scenes with Sue were good, and it was great to see Brittany getting some leads and showing off her dancing skills, along with some great dialogue, but it all felt contrived.

Of course it didn't help that I'm not a fan of Britney Spears's music at all. That's two episodes in a row in which I've not liked a single song.

I really hope the next few episodes improve, or I may give up on it.

I don't know, i'm still finding this show to be good but not as good as the previous series was

Will was being quite an ass, and Rachels not doing herself any favours

liked Toxic, Only exception and me against the music though

I didn't watch the last series but the rest of my family persuaded me to give this season a go. So far, I can't really say I've got to know any of the characters or noticed much of a story to get stuck into. It's just a series of songs strung together with slightly dull chat. I liked the new Asian girl last week but she seems to have gone for good.

To be honest I get the impression that Glee has run out of gas creatively, or maybe it's just been monetized by avaricious studio execs? I dunno what it is, but it's just not the same humorous, kooky, feel good song fest I enjoyed previous season (or half seasons, if you prefer). And that's a real shame.

I actually really enjoyed the britney ep.

obviously the songs were mainly rubbish and rachel doing paramore at the end especially got on my nerves, why on earth does she get all the songs when mercedes, tina and santana are all more talented, more interesting and way less annoying????

but it was great to see brittany get some well deserved screen time and finally showcase her talents properly

i also loved the sex riot lmao, best season 2 moment so far

Brittany/Britney

Possibly the most bonkers episode of Glee so far, and that is *really* saying something. No real plot furthering, but it is such an odd show that in some episodes it can feel like nothing has happened, and in others you get a whole seasons worth of story in a single episode.

It was very funny, and as usual everything Brittany says is hilarious, and as the focus was on her, I guess that explains why it was such a nuts episode. I'm not a fan of Slave For U anyway, so the episode really kicked off song-wise for me with the Brittany and Santana duet Me Against The Music, which was just great.

Baby One More Time was very well done (of course), and Lea Michele really has lost a lot of weight. Rachel stole the show (as bloody always!) and her final song Only Exception was sweet, she has this amazing ability to cry while singing, I guess it's the broadway in her.

It was so crazy, that I hadn't even noticed that Sue hadn't appeared until halfway through, I mean, bloody hell, how do you not realise Sue is absent? But she made up for it with some typical Sue moments.

It was a little too unwholesome at times, OK, the Britney Spears "sex riot" was amusing, but there was some awful over-acting going on, and the scene with Jacob was a bit too much I think, I just didn't think it was funny.

It's only the second proper tribute episode, but I think these episodes sort of exist in a world of their own, and although enjoyable, I am looking forward to getting back to "normal" next week.
