Pah! If I'd found that insulting I'd have to have given up on forums long ago . Will have to keep my eyes peeled if I see it around. I do like what I've seen of Greg Weisman's stuff so It'll be worth a peak.

Star Trek TNG (Family) - I humbly submit that this is a fantastic episode. Very on the QT but very good and character driven. Worst screen fight ever (Picard v Picard) but the break down of Picard afterward is heart breaking. If not for that scene The Best of Both Worlds would have had much diminished meaning.

Just watched episode 2 of Ultimate Spider-Man.

Pains me to say it, but I can't say I'm overly impressed. It's like they're trying way too hard, what with all the little "humourous" fourth-wall moments; they're really obvious, relentless, in-your-face distractions, and only really serve to detract from what should (in this episode) have been a really tense showdown with Doctor Doom. At one point I actually found myself on my phone looking for who did Doom's voice, never a good sign...

And while I think it's cool that they're opening up the roster of Marvel characters like Nova, Power Man et al, they're so underwritten as characters, it only serves to highlight how bland the show really is. There's very little actual Peter Parker, and it's like they only included Harry and MJ in there to remind us that it's a Spider-Man show we're watching.

Still, I'm naturally gona stick with it, see how it pans out. Watching it is so bittersweet though, the whole affair just reminds me how awesome Spectacular was...
