Rhian, I hope Harry feels better soon.
Jaelle - be careful with the Angel monitors. I've heard they're more frightening than reassuring, as babies that can roll will often roll off the sensor and set it off, which scares the bejeezus out of you. Pie Man - hope Freya isn't too distressed by the night terrors. Me - I've spent the day trying to teach Daniel to go to sleep without being carried round the house for an hour first. It seems to be going well, as he's currently in the middle of his 4th nap of the day, but he's not keen on going into his bed awake! |

Yeah I think any kind of sensor would just make twice as paranoid. I assume it's fear of cot death that has you worried? I don't know what current evidence suggests, but that I know of scientists are still very clueless about the whole thing. To my mind, babies are born with all kinds of instincts to keep them alive so if they're rolling over then it's natural and safe. As long as you're sensible and don't have too much bedding or any toys in the cot I'm sure your little one will be fine

Thanks guys - I got up once last night  And she was face down again - I mean nose on the mattress! She is slightly propped on her hand & tbh, I've no idea how long she's like that before I see her, it's just very disconcerting to see.
She's sleeping much better though

I know, Harry did it a couple of times when he first learned to roll and it was terrifying. He stopped pretty quickly though, so hopefully Amy will too!

Freya still prefers sleeping on her front bum in teh air (When not standing up or crawling in her sleep) and it was really a worry first time because I was sure she was going to suffocate. Wife reminded me that she is perfectly capable of moving if required

Hey all.
I remember the worries of the kid in the room alone. We're in the process of building up Hannah's cotbed now.It was Amy's one but still in very good nic. The wife wants it built in our room just now.I think its a little bit much but after everything thats happened i understand why she wants her in with us 3 months old,9lb 2oz and doing smashing.Hugs to all ![]() Snoozin' on granny

Well isn't she a beauty? That pic with her hand under her chin is adorable, Ed.
It's so nice to read about how everyone's babies are developing. I love this thread.

Anna sleeps on her tummy quite often. She's coming up for two, though, so she's well capable of rolling over (and she does - a lot!).
She also occasionally talks in her sleep, which we hear over the monitor. It's rather amusing. Most of it's babble, but her speech and vocabulary are getting better every day, although she currently pronounces 'f' as 'p', which can be funny/embarrassing when she talks about fish.

Bless her Ed, my Amy's only just gone in her own room at 24 weeks as she really outgrew the crib, so I don't blame your missus

Hi, all.
Adorable pictures, Ed. She's a real cutie. Daniel is growing lots - people seem constantly surprised that he's 'only' ten weeks old. He may be a bit bigger than average, but not by a great deal... He has quite bad cradle cap at the moment - the skin on his head looks a bit like cornflakes! I've tried olive oil, which didn't seem to do much apart from make the sheets greasy, and I'm now trying some special shampoo. |
