Sad to hear Andy, as I know you guys love it there.
But I'm glad you'll be able to surround yourselves with family and friends again and have your support network back, which is all good. *selfish face* And I can see more of you too!

We had a similar, but not as extreme version of that problem when Iona was pregnant with Donald, He rmum lives in Auchtermuchty and so would take over an hour to get to our flat, my mum lived closer, but doesnt drive. Added to the problem my work could take me down to stranraer on a night shift (Although in general unlike you I could drop everything and head for home if there were problems)
We had an emergency taxi fund to get someone to take care of freya up to the flat if needed (never was) and I burned a whole load more fuel driving my car to site in case I needed to leave quickly (Fortunately never had to return from Stranraer)

The midwife told us today that there is no help in the form of carers or people who come out to the house to help out.
I think my mum is coming down for Christmas so that'll cover the due date. Its January 2nd but i'm sure she'll go earlier. |

What happened? Is the baby here yet?
I would have expected a home birth with a midwife in attendance to be the best option, complete with pool. Those women on Youtube make it look so easy. All three of hours were at the hospital au naturel. Not so easy. :P Still quite fun to see my wife forced to huff and puff like that though. That taught her her place.

I hate the first few months, scary times. Gets more fun as the baby gets more robust and you can play with the belly. Fingers crossed for you guys. Going to find out the sex in advance?
