Yeah I tried to find it cheap online and couldn't see a copy for much under £40. Given that Killzone 2 comes out in under a month (currently £29.99 on Amazon) I think I'll give COD:WAW a miss. My next COD game will be Modern Warfare 2 which I'm already excited about.

That's a pretty damn good list.
And now add Skate to that! I presume it is to Tony Hawk's what Pro Evo is to Fifa in terms of skill and realism -- I'm really lovin' it

Yeah, I was thinking more about it today and one thing I hope they carry over from the first one was the jumping between perspectives in the story. One thing that would be cool for instance would be a rescure mission, where one half is finding the guy you've been sent for, but once you free him, your character is seriously wounded/killed by unavoidable enemy fire, and it switches in that instant to the prisoner's POV as he takes up the fallen rescuer's weapon and fights his way back out.

I keep saying this, so sorry if I sound like a broken record!

I have a love/hate relationship with WaW. It is so much like CoD4 in every way (except perspective scale? Somehow everything looks smaller?).

It's just all the glitches, connection problems, lag and absolutely abismal spawning. Maybe the "patch" Treyarch have promised will actually appear this month, as promised, and sort these problems out.

I, too, am very excited about CoD6:MW2. Not to forget other potential great shooters coming out (notice I said "potential"):

Killzone2 (as Eyes already mentioned.......demo available this Thursday on PSN - SP only though)

MAG - should be out soon.

GRAW3 - not a franchise I know, mozzy rates it anyhow.

On a completely different genre of game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is receiving good reviews (whilst not networkable, as far as I know, it's still worthy of a mention), and NG4 are saying that this will be better than KZ2??!

CoD4 will be my staple diet for now, WaW when I fancy something different (and screw the stats).

Yeah, I know, Si. I've never played any of them - which is what I meant by I wasn't familiar with them.

Interested to have a go at GRAW3 though.

Do you think there will be a demo? As you said yesterday, they might decide to delay release as the slated release is so close to MW2!

Forgot to mention that Medal of Honor are suposed to be releasing a modern warfare game this year. They *might* include a multiplayer this time?

i think there may still be a graw2 demo on psn to download it would give you a feel for the single player.

Generally it is a cross between cod and socom - it has respawn & non respawn game modes online with capture the flag , battle with ai soldiers to help, defend etc. you can have uav and helicopters but the host can disable them, most people disable grenade launchers, u can shoot down the uavs (you start with them if enabled) it is regarded as a bit noobish.

it is like hctdm but with customisable games. a bit slower paced than cod as it relys on all of the team playing as a team with mics and spotting where the enemy is as there is no hud showing red dots when you fire. its great with a silenced sniper rifle!

So it looks like we're sticking with UKFC then, and continuing to put up with the chicken jokes.

Also I feel to the need to rant, and rant I must about the shocking direction that the Resident Evil series has taken with its latest outing in RE5.

Having downloaded the demo last night off Playstation Store (all 942 megs of it, and then about 15mins to install), I played the demo.

WTF???

Where has all the gameplay gone? The puzzles? The storyline?

Whats to the score with all the action? - yup its was an element to the previous games, but it was purely secondanary to the story and the puzzles.

The latest game seems to have become more that a run'n'gun type of game with the emphasis on action - did say to Roge that it reminds me of an old game on the PS2 called Fighting Force - if anyone can remember that far back, as that game was little more that fighting your way from Point A to Point B.

Also on a side note, can anyone recommend a decent rally game, and a decent racing game for the PS3 - given up waiting forGran Turismo 5, you know the launch title for the PS3 that we are still waiting for.

Going to try and get on COD tonight at somepoint if I make it back from the 6-8inches of snow that is still on the groundin Harrogate.

Probably go for COD4 to avoid the server issues on WaW - which reminds me, aint there meant to be a patch coming soon to sort all of that? Or do we have to wait til November for Modern Warfare 2?

PSN ID is the same as it is here, Frodo1135, feel free to send me an invite.

As racing games go Juiced 2 is decent. It's in almost no way realistic but it has a few varied race modes and the cars are almost infinately customisable.
