Such good news. I only caught up with Fringe last Christmas and it would have been so sad if it had been cancelled just when I got hooked.

Excellent news. Fox did not have to renew Fringe, it wasn't bringing them many viewers, it was losing them money, but they still gave it a final run.

Now I just need Community to be renewed, and I will be complete

well the latest ep was a crazy 1 - i always thought the observers were the good guys. nice twist though - very unexpected . the only annoying thing was no proper conclusion - it felt like half an episode.

great news on the renewal - now they get a chance to wrap things up fully . just don't do a 'Lost ' give us a proper ending that makes sense.

Did anyone else feel slightly different watching this weeks episode we still have another season to come? I mean, less needy for answers? Lol.

I enjoyed it but it made last weeks feel even more out of place in the run than it had before. Saying that, I always love seeing both versions of the characters interacting. There was some genuinely affecting moments as they all said goodbye, and the Walter/Walternate scene was lovely. John Noble truley is a star. However I think my fave goodbye was actually Astrid and Other Astrid. I love them both and that awkward wee wave from Other Astrid, and Astrids smile just sums them up perfectly.

Still not sure what DRJ is up to...it seems to make no sense to destroy both worlds a d leave behind an empty shell for him to re populate with his genetic freaks and accidents. I'm still liking the idea that maybe he's the good guy after all and he's looking to merge both worlds together safely.....but I think it's unlikely!

Really hope that's not the last we see of the other verse. And Lincoln!

That would have been interesting...

Great episode, with some great acting especially those doing double duty... All three of them did amazing jobs in showing different farewell moments between their two versions. Olivia and the mutual respect, Walter and the fear of losing Peter again and Astrid and the little wave. All perfect for the characters. They just better all be back is all!

It was a jump going back to 2012, I do hope we see 2036 again. Maybe season 5 (YIPPEE!!) will show us more of that time and how it might come about.

It felt a bit odd having them decide turning off the Bridge was the solution when we've seen DRJ use different means to cross over.
And it seemed a bit sudden to decide that this was the solution and then do it when we've seen several different ways to cross over and knowing that Cortexiphan kids can possibly cross over without any help - we know Olivia can - so how do we know that the Cortexiphan isn't the reason that they can communicate with their Alts and this plot has nothing to do with the Bridge at all?

As an aside.. I just mentioned this in the comments of the review on the main site, thought it was worth mentioning here too..

I thought it was very convenient to get the story going to have it that Nick Lane knows Lincoln, until I remembered that the two of them had a moment of recognition way back at the end of season two when our team went over the rescue Peter. Alt Lincoln said "Nick...?" on the bridge in the park right before Nick did the pyro thing and blew everyone up. That's a nice bit of planting a seed for later use right there...
