RANT/RAVE OF THE DAY

RANT: Planned a day working at home only to be reminded I had a meeting this afternoon.
RAVE: Pitching up at work at lunchtime.

RANT: Looks like I have a hernia and an ulcer; I have an MSc exam tomorrow and an interview for my own job on Thursday. On top of that I've recovered a user's data only for them to kick off about corrupted files :-(

RAVE: I haven't got one [sobs]

Rant: Tired. My brain and body want to sleep. I want to do my work. This is not a happy combination.

Rant: Officially handed over my responsibilities as Social sec from my society. Yesterday this was a good thing today I feel kind of odd not knowing exactly what's going on and there was a social email and it wasn't written by me. And there were spelling mistakes.

RAVE: Off on exciting trip today. Going up to spend a couple of days with my folks, then we're off to visit Count, K, B and baby!geek, and then up to Leeds to see my mates and meet my new nephew. Awesome.

Rave: Handover meal was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

Rant: Managed to squash my fingers in a broken chair and now they've gone a nice purple colour.

Rant: Was supposed to have been cracking on with my essay when I got in from the meal but instead there was much drinking and the essay never happened.

Rave: Much drinking and laughing.

Rave: Today I am being productive.

RANT: The online training course I'm doing is littered with mistakes and narrated by a cretin who so far has managed to mis-pronounce 'ascertain', 'attribute' and 'hierarchy'. The only thing stopping me putting a boot through the monitor is that I'm working from home, so it's my monitor.

RANT: Very tired, as yet again Daughter woke up in the early hours and wouldn't go back to sleep.

RANT: My living room is too small.

RAVE: Shazam - the iPhone app that identifies a song and lets you buy it from iTunes there and then. I now have a song by Alexi Murdoch which featured in last week's Stargate Universe episode, and it's lovely.

RANT: I am getting frightened about what is going to happen over the next decade no matter who gets in. I think I should restrict my consumption of news.
