The All purpose Who Rumour/Spoiler Thread [I SAID SPOILERS!]

With between 5 and 7 weeks to go before S4 starts and with the new DWM filling in some details I thought I'd knock together an overview of what we know about the upcoming series.

4.1: “Partners In Crime” – Donna returns. Aliens that are either made from or live off human fat.
4.2: “The Fires Of Pompeii” – Rock monsters and Vesuvius.
4.3: “Planet Of The Ood” – Self-explanitory
4.4 + 4.5: “The Sontaran Stratagem” – Sontarans / Martha / UNIT!
4.6: “?” – Unknown. Stars Peter Davison’s daughter Georgia Moffett in a major role. (Possibly 4.10)
4.7: “The Unicorn And The Wasp” – Agatha Christie & Giant Wasps
4.8 + 4.9: “?” - Steven Moffat story about the quest for a “lost” library.
4.10: “Midnight” – Nasty goings-on at a Health spa on an alien planet (Possibly 4.6)
4.11: “?” - Rose Returns / Doctor-lite
4.12 + 4.13: “?” – Donna, Martha, Rose, Jack & Sarah-Jane / Davros and Caan (?)

Feel free to add in any ommisions or make corrections.

We do actually know quite a bit more than that. There's loads of information (including some speculation) in this ost at The Forum Formerly Known As Outpost Gallifrey.

Now, I'm probably adding 2 and 2 together to get 5, but the talk of invisible "insects" on people's backs, and the talk of Donna having a terrible secret, well, that makes me think of "Planet Of The Spiders". Could Donna be being controlled by one of the Eight-legs? RTD has said that the finale is "rather fanwanky". And bringing back the Eight-legs would definitely be that.

Or that could just mean Davros.

I'm starting to think there's a good chance some of the Torchwood team will accompany Captain Jack when he appears in the season finale. As RTD has gone from saying "They'll never show up in Doctor Who" to "if the story demands it", but that the Doctor will never appear in Torchwood.

Sure there was something about spiders or mentions of the webstar in one of the set reports I read on OG, so if that were the case it's not for the finale.

Still convinced we're getting another Big Dalek Finale.

The Racnoss Star is in episode 11. Which, if it's anything like "Utopia" last year, will be part one of the finale.

That's also the episode in which Rose and Donna meet, which Sarah Jane Smith is rumoured to be coming back for, and which features people with something on their backs - reported to be "animatronic insects", although "animatronic arachnid" isn't that far off. It's rumoured that this is the episode in which Rose finds out something "sinister" about Donna, and in which one of Donna's friends notices something on her back. There are also supposed to be people wandering around in a trance, as if being controlled by an alien mind.

Now, that doesn't mean that it is the Eight-legs, or that the Racnoss children are using the same trick as the Eight-legs, but it is ringing bells for me. Certainly fun speculation.

Its probably rubbish but Peter Davidson's daughter is meant to play the Doctors Cloned daughter.
