Default Stargate SG1 Full frontal nudity ..what the hell

picked up the first 3 season R1 boxsets from amazon (dirt cheap) and im halfway through Children of the Gods

now i remember watching these first time around on TV but iabsolutly do not recall seeing Sharai <SP> (Daniels wife) fully nude and shot full frontal in the scene where she is implanted with the symbiote (and with some quite large erect nipples lingered on in shot as well ??)

i was going to sit with my son and watch these but they are different to what i recall

before i sit and distract him for that one scene is there anything else in these boxsets that i should know about beforehand ???

personally i do not want to watch each episode twice

you probably originally watched it on TV with nudity Cutout.

this is the only episode with nudity, and the nudity was at the request of the producers to get more viewers,

you can get a directors cut/final cut version, which has updated VFX and no nudity. but it costs about 10 because it is pretty new out.

That is why Stargate SG-1's DVD boxset for S1 has a very jarring 18 rating (despite most of SG-1 and Atlantis' DVDs having PG and 12 ratings, with the odd 15 rating).

That's because SG-1 was originally aired on Showtime. Sci-fi Channel picked it up after season 5 (?).

Showtime is a premium cable channel like HBO and has little content restrictions. Sci-fi is basic cable so they censor everything to make it kid-friendly.

I'd watch out for the second episode (or the 2nd half of the pilot) where one of the team gets taken over by a snake since I remeber that one being quite violent

I'd watch out for episode 8.

That contains The Nox.

And they are just a spear removed from ewoks.

Depending on how old your son is, you may want to skip over 'Legacy' in Season 3. Without spoiling the episode for you, there are some scenes in an asylum that my god-daughter found quite upsetting. She was about 7 at the time.

I would skip over season 2's 'One small step' too, but only because it is crap.

I wish I'd bothered watching the show now.

seen the entire series as well as Atlantis , Universe and the Other one that no one talks about and has been retrofitted out of continuity

so no worries about spoilers i was just concerned that i would see a little too much Jaffa staff action than the edited TV version
