got given a Korean copy of Howls Moving Castle (short version, my mother befriended a Korean woman and her kids, and they visit pretty regularly and they just got back from a break in Korea).

Was kind of unusual watching a Japanese cartoon in Korean with English subtitles. Good fun though, but not Miyazaki or Ghibli's best.

Don't thunk I've mentioned them here but Bodacious Space Pirates and Polar Bear Cafe have been two of my favourite shows of recent series. Neither are that substantial in terms of plot but both are light hearted and fun and the name says most of what the shows are about.

Coming to the end of our Evangelion rewatch, and just "finished" on episode 24. It's been a while since I first saw it, but I remember episodes 25 and 26 being completely bonkers, and were retold via the movie, all of which we're gonna nail on thursday.

Also, I've only just found today on Amazon that they've actually started doing 26-episode season sets of One Piece -- for £15 each! Region 1, mind, but that's pretty amazing isn't it? Snapped up the first one

Not been keeping up with current anime for a few years (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood being the last one I was looking at), but I am currently squeeing like a Japanese schoolgirl at Avatar:Legend of Korra. OK, strictly-speaking not anime, but damn it it is fantastic.

I'm well behind, only just picked up season 1 of Avatar -- I really need to crack on with it - I hear it's all kinds of awesome though!

Okay, I just watched End of Evangelion again, for the first time since about 2005. I said it then, and I'll say it again now... What the bloody hell was all that about? I mean, avant garde is one thing, but sweet jesus, I thought the original 25/26 made slightly more sense!

Gonna have to wait and see what the Rebuild of Evangelion does with the third incarnation of the ending...

Friend just bought something like 30 movies and 20 boxsets.. so I have recently been watching

Akira, Redline and Full Metal Alchemist. Also a bit of a really poo post-apocalyptic series (with robots and no people) which is named for the central character; and despite everyone saying his name like a gazillion times all the way through the first episode, I cannot remember it.

But FMA is awesome, and I quite enjoyed Redline.
