The kicker is there should have been a clear one too, but they cancelled it.

News of yet another limited set. This time it's a Victory of the Daleks set featuring Winston Churchill and 'teatime' Ironside Dalek.

This year's SDCC release (which will presumably be available in Forbidden Planet in the UK, like the previous ones) has been revealed - Victory Of The Daleks with a figure of Ian McNeice as Winston Churchill alongside a tea-tray-holding Ironside. And some phones. Looks like a great likeness of the actor.

I believe this is the first "celebrity historical" figure (except that inch-high Micro Universe Reinette, the only character to get one with no full-size figure) - no Dickens, no Victoria, no Shakespeare, no Christie, no Vincent, no Nixon, no Avery, no Hitler...

The chances of their being a Hitler action figure in the Doctor Who range were always very slim.

True, but a Dickens (for example) seems more viable. Although being able to have toy Churchill bodyslam toy Hitler would be nice.

Of course, I'd still put them all behind certain characters like, to pick an example purely at random, RORY on my wishlist.

There are companies that give their customers what they want, and there are companies that give their customers figures they don't necessarily want, need, or can afford, then pump out variant after variant.

CO is the latter type unfortunately.

A shame really, it started so well, then it all seemed to go tits up in the last year of 10.

Do you ever get the feeling that they've mixed up the word "toys" with "collectables"? They look like toys but the prices are a little high really for any poor parents who may be getting the pressure treatment.

Guess they just assume we're all rich.

The new classic Fx Daleks are now available from Argos with the release of the new catalogue.
(cat no 907/9692)

6 to chose from.
Dalek Invasion of Earth
Power of the Daleks
Planet of the Daleks
Death to the Daleks
Revelations of the Daleks
Bronze Dalek (RTD era)

The fx are from their time periods as well.

Managed to pick up 4 out of the 6 as for some reason they have only 2 per store.
