Default Website Film Reviews

How come your sister publication Total Film, gets its review of Sci Fi films up on its website before you guys? Do they nick your tickets?

I trust you guys more then them. Maybe I'm just impatient for your reviews. I'm also a magazine subscriber, still like to read breaking news on here, first though.

In most cases we upload the film reviews the day the film is released because we figure that's the optimum time to have the review appear on the front page. We make the occasional exception to that for films with a really big buzz.

In the case of Prometheus, I guess it's just because they wrote it faster. A factor here is that TF are based in London, where the screenings take place, and we're not. We're in Bath. Rich probably didn't get back home from that screening until after midnight, by which time I doubt he wanted to sit up into the early hours writing a review.

In the case of Snow White: when we went to press with that review for the print mag, the release date was down as 1 June. I wasn't aware it had moved forward to Wednesday - haven't had any press release about it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
