I wouldn't either, they sacked and replaced him without contacting him, and it sounds like his "consulting producer" role is just a made up title that means nothing, and gives him no control of the show.

I am worried about season 4 now, especially since the last few minutes of season 3 were so series finale-ey, maybe it would have been better there.

I can't understand why in a low rated show that's been moved to Friday evening, they'd be changing showrunners to try and make the show more mainstream.

I'd have rather had a Chevy-less show with Harmon still there.

Chase came on board at the behest of NBC executives and as long as chase has their ears than Harmon was never going to win.

From the way the third series finale played out , it's been written as a series finale and with a completely new team in charge ( it looks more like scrubs in it's final season) perhaps it would have been better to end it., However Harmon has no one but himself to blame...the ridiculous and quite Immature actions of both Harmon and Chase have hardly coverd themselves in glory....but Harmon has done the most damage to himself and his career......Execs will not quickly forget Harmons latest outburst..

Though I guess it doesn't always apply Nicollette Sheridan was let-go from "Desperate Housewives" when she got into a "battle" with Showrunner Marc Cherry which has been the subject of an ongoing trial But in so-doing all Sheridan's work has dried up

Yes but in that case It's Cherry not Sheridan who is considered the talent.

Rules of Engagement has been renewed for 13 new episodes , somehow David Spade keeps getting work.

As we all know Sanctuary has been cancelled but surely the big shock is Dog the Bounty hunter has been cancelled, yes the A&E network have killed off a show not even the Mexican prison system could not stop. Now you can say what you like but it was one of the first reality shows and helped A&E dominate the market. A market full of shows like Storage Wars , Pawn Stars etc, etc. The eight season however was in the can before the announcement and will be shown.

Mark Hudis has been confirmed as the new Showrunner for True Blood .....he will be taking over from Alan Ball at the end of the season....however the announcement was tinged with the air of "If True Blood is renewed" This could be because of the poor reception for the last season critcally in some quarters.

The Dish Network hopper DVR controversy rumbles on (Dish is introducing the technology for the viewer to skip completley any advertising unfortunately U.S Networks are financed by advertising..Disey CEO Bob Iger at an event promoting next seasons Dancing with the stars when asked refused to comment merely stating "It's in the hands of our great legal counsel."oh dear

non sf

Deadline Hollywood are reporting that the huffington post (which was purchased by AOL last year) have signed Oprah on as a columnist. As Deadline Sarcastically pointed out what a brilliant idea...this is being seen as a desperate gamble by Huffington to stay relevant and Winfrey trying to raise the Oprah Winfrey Networks profile which ccontinues to plough it's way to disaster in the ratings.

It seems the rumours about getting enough episodes for syndication for Fringe were true, as it has now been sold to Science:
