I saw this on the shelf the other day -- it was quite fortuotous, as I'd been checking out the work of the very talented chap(ess?) who draws it, their website is Gurihiru.com. Kinda makes me wanna go and seek out the series; it's long overdue a watchin'.

TLoK is airing on the 14th of April in the US. I wonder how long it will be until Nickelodeon over here starts airing it?

Has anyone read the bridging comics? If so were they good?

I watched it again and noticed Katara is still alive. I got a bit of a Fullmetal Alchemist feel when Korra was fighting those four guys in the city.

looks interesting so far... still being cautiously optimistic, but I must admit, holding in some squees.

this is set 70 years after airbender, right? Kinda... depressing to consider that aang's tenure as avatar seems so short, especially considering kiyoshi lived to be 200 odd.

Technically, wasn't he the avatar for over 110 (possibly as many as 160) years? Around 100 of which were spent in the avatar state inside a cocoon of ice.

I'm wondering about the avatar cycle. Water comes directly after air and the previous avatar dies by before the new one is born. Doesn't that mean that Aang died before Korra was born?

EDIT: Disregard the second bit, I somehow got it in to my head that Korra was Aang's daughter.

I know, but right now i am keeping myself pure...but i know Katara is in it one of the characters is called Mako after Iroh's voice artish who passed on before the show ended...which is awesome
