Yes indeed, they contacted us about that and we were happy to work with them - as I recall we created a cover of the magazine specifically for the show.

Reviews of old films as if they were new.I would love to hear what SFX thought of Alien/Blade Runner/Star Wars when they were released.Just for fun y'know.

I think they have reviewed the special editions of these when they came out and included new reviews n the 5 star review special.

And then I woke up and wrote this instead.

Thanks, Dave. As I recall, I freeze-framed it but couldn't read the cover lines.

An example of look alikes:

Patrick Troughton as Melanthius in Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger and Sir Ian Mckellen as Gandalf the Grey in The Fellowship of the Ring

I'd like to see some hottie love for Sci-Fi Hunks and Beauties in a Scifi Hottie Special. Kind of like Maxim's 100 Hottest...BUT BETTER!

Have you tried a Google image search? It's probably quicker and you can do it one-handed.

Personally, a junior blastermind just for me.

I've always wanted to see SFX cover the smaller memorabillia shows here in the UK, I know they're not as 'news worthy' as something like San Diego but a feature or two on these events would be most welcome.

Anyways, keep up the good work on SFX

thanks!

Well, we do have events reviews of things considerably smaller than San Diego in the mag every month in the Event Horizon section (in SFX225 there are writeups on MCM Expo, the Gemmell Awards, Fantasycon 2012 and a zombie crawl in Kent). I guess it depends how small you mean.

If you're suggesting doing a bigger thing, like 3 or 4 pages on a memorabilia event... I just don't think we have the space to be honest. So many things to cover.

Also, a quick plug: we have an events calendar page here (which I really need to update with about 47 more lots of details when I can find the damn time...)
