Asimov's Robots. Caves of Steel, Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn.

Forgot how short the 1st two were and the way it is written is very "compact", no over-long sentences/flowery language/expostion heavy. Sharp & snappy language.

Also quite surprised about the "liberal" sex attittude of the characters in Robots of Dawn.

Will move onto the Foundation series next.

Reading very slowly these days Took me over a month to get through two volumes of Jon Courtenay Grimwood's Arabesk trilogy, and I've shelved the third for the moment. However, by comparison I am zipping through my next book, Octavia E. Butler's Parable of the Sower, which is very readable, and commendably non-histrionic for a book about the slow, depressing collapse of civilisation as we know it.

Came up with the worlds greatest Signature, one that would make women swoon and men wish to be my friend, one that would be so devastatingly brilliant that it would end the concept of signatures forever.

And then I woke up and wrote this instead.

Double Dead by Chuck Wendig. A zombie story with the twist that it is told from the point of view of a vamp who wakes up to find most of his prey have turned into shambling, rotting corpses.
