Studio exec Jeff Banks on the Charlie Rose show has admitted that to combat piracy studios are going to have to "Collapse" the gap between cinema release times and Dvd release to a "Few Weeks"

Deadline Hollywood is reporting Brendan Fraser is suing Producer Todd Meyer over William Tell The Legend 3D . Fraser is claiming to have lost roles worth $3 Million whle awaiting shooting on the failed William Tell picture to commence , he also claims Meyer used his name without permission to raise finances for the film.( Fraser is claiming the film was in trouble at the time meyer was alleged to be doing this and was not informed)

Finally a story that's been brewing for the last few days and is becoming larger in Hollywood ....Gavin Smith a Fox Movie Exec who worked On Titanic , Star Wars and Avatar went missing earlier in the week...however unusual for a missing persons case no one has seen him or even a sighting of his car since he left a friends house and his credit card has not been used. The police are now considering this a Homicide.

Studios would love to, but the theatre chains will need a much better deal. in the 1st couple of weeks to recompense them for the lost earnings. Last year the studios tried to have PPV on some films 60 days after release but the prices they were charging was something like $30 (when the Blue Ray 30 days later would cost just $20

CZJ that name fills me with dread, I worked as one of the Production Co-Ordinators on "The Terminal" and the day never started without a complaint from her, delivered via her agent Since then if the film casts her I don't want to know. Fortunately her career trajectory has meant that's not been a problem for mine

Ah the bizzare world of Hollywood , SYFY are going ahead and will be showing American Battleship this weekend (starring Carl Weathers and Mario Van Peebles) after changing the title so Universal (Syfy's Parent company) can't sue them!?!?!Because Universal are afraid this film will damage Battleship which is released Friday.

The only thing that worries me is the fact that they are still filming and cast members are dropping out , Tarantino has announced that Russells Lines will now be spoken by another character...(Russell had already been hired to replace Kevin Costner) they can now longer wait to recast because the film is going to be out Christmas Day in the States....not a good sign for the quality of the finished product.
