I think they should stick to the original origins story, as at least it gives the story a firm footing.

While Transformers was decent enough, the story is possibly one of the worst ever written. Nothing made any sense. Megatron while frozen in ice burned the co-ordinates of some cube thing onto someones glasses... What...? Why...? The cube was not even in that location. They had both a solid comic and cartoon mythology to draw upon, but they went their own way, and mucked it up.

I quite liked TMNT. I played the TMNT and other Strangeness RPG, which was a good laugh. But the idea they are aliens, worries me. I think Bay may have meant something different anyway. They are mutant turtles... who are ninjas. The clue is in the name.

since i love the live action first movie, the cgi one a few years ago. i'd say let him have a stsab at this, each generation seems to have a version of the turles. be it the soft one from the early 1990's the live action one (god i hated that one) a few lears later to the reboot a few years back which introduced Shredders daughter. you never know this may be one of the best turtles movies ever created...well you know that is a big maybe...

I hate Michael Bay. And Roland Emmerich. I hate him, too.

I think I remember reading at least one of them wasn't that bothered and thought Bay was going to do a great job.

Because the creator that was asked was only interested in the money the franchise could make? Can't remember which, but I think one of them sold their half of the rights a couple of years ago... I think it was Eastman.
