Default Free Comic Book Day

Are people looking forward to it? Will you be attending your local comic book store.

Myself, I'll be making a visit to First Age Comics in Lancaster which should be good. Andy Diggle generally turns up for a visit too so all good.

Yep. There are 2 comic shops in Liverpool and last year I raided them both and got some good swag. World's Apart was giving away a free Love and Rockets TPB and off the back of that, I bought the rest of them so FCB Day does work in their favour.

Yup, my local Mega City Comics in Camden will be doing it, which is the first time I've ever been privy to it; better get there early :P

My nearest comic book shop is also where my nearest cinema is, journeyed there by a 20 minute train ride, so i'm gonna make a day of it with my little bro. Free comics, followed by The Avengers

Came back from my first haul, arriving just as the shop opened. Whilst I also picked up a number of back issues, the free issues I picked up so far haven't really convinced me to buy any more in the runs:

Spiderman Season 1: Standard Spiderman origin

Irredemable\incorruptible: Pretty generic superhero fare

The New 52: Well I'm already buying them anyway but the trinity war doesn't look like the greatest event. Also the 2 page previews of the new run in the back feel kind of tacked on.

The Avengers Age of Ultron: I don't really like the Avengers but thought I'd give it a go, didn't convince me much more really.

2000AD: Well it's 2000AD,it's cool but I don't think I'd ever buy it regularly.

I'm not complaining, it's free after all ! But did anyone find anything really good in there hauls?

Nabbed me the following:

Spidey Season 1

Avengers by Bendis/Romita (the start of Volume 4 I think)
Yo Gabba Gabba (although I already had all the stories in my hardcover volume - d'oh!)
Adventure Time
Mouse Guard (a surprisingly well-put-together hardcover tome)

Plus got a couple of vouchers because I'd hauled so much separately :P

Managed to get to the second store down in Essex in time. It turned out they weren't participating fully but they knew me as an old regular so they let me have anything from the sale section for free (so picked up some 90s superman).
