Considering it, got a month and it's only 2,000 words. Written pieces against tighter timeframes than that before.

Forgot to say, after uming and ahing I've started working on a submission for Use Enough Gun as well.

Immortal Ink are open for submissions throughout May. There's a blog on the website which gives a pretty good idea of what they are looking for.

Hmm, interesting, not a lot of information about them out there but always nice to have another option for a novel...

First draft of my Judge Dredd short finished, came in just under 1,900 words.

Also bought Sweet Justice last week, a collection of short stories from 2000AD which gave me an idea of sort of stuff they're interested in.

Work on polishing the three stories going into the anthology I'm planning on self publishing coming along nice. Should have it ready for couple helpful readers I've lined up to look over in couple weeks or so. All need to do is sort the cover out.

Well into research for a planned novel set in the world of one of the shorts that will be in my anthology. Reading up a lot on 1940/50s politics, the US's various War Plans and the communist movement in the US from 1920s onwards oh and airships.

There was a post on the Pill Hill Press forum couple weeks ago saying all stories submitted so far had been read and decisions made, emails would be sent out in the coming week letting authors know one way or other if their stories are in or out. Not had any email yet so have feeling mine might be in the possible list depending on if anything else better comes in.

Been in this situation before with PHP with my steampunk short and missed out because the anthology moved away from military stories. Hoping this time might be more successful.

My Dredd story has now dropped to 1400 words after a friend suggested that my epilogue wasn't neccesary, and I agreed, it ends on a much cooler note now, the extra stuff was nice, but bit too extraneous. Course now I wonder if it'll be too short but not gonna castigate myself too much for coming in under budget for once!!!
