His successor will be starting a new Batman franchise so I'll doubt they will care.

John Blake isn't a character from the comics but I've started to suspect the same thing as you SoS.

It did in mine. Well, I'm assuming it was the 'new' trailer that screened before Avengers when I finally got around to seeing it yesterday.

I really can't see Warners screwing around with a setup that generates a billion per film.
They may get a new director and even a new actor (it wouldn't be the first time ! but I wouldn't yet count on that even), but, unless this has "FINAL, GET OUT OF THAT" stamped all over the end credits, continuing on in this same universe seems just as likely.

Nolan may make great films, but he's not a god, and not the only talented director out there capable of continuing on using this version of the Batverse.
Warners are smart enough to find someone if they want.

But they confirmed this themselves. Last year.

And since when am I meant to take anything film directors and producers say as gospel ?
Way too many times in the past what come out of their mouth seems to only be true, from a certain point of view.

Well believe what you like but I can't see Nolan's Batman universe fitting in to a Justice League film.

I can't even see a Justice League film before 2020.

First they tried Wonder Woman but bottled it before a frame was filmed. So there's that for starters. Then they tried Green Lantern - well that worked, didn't it ? They also tried Superman - it flopped - so they having another go at rebooting it, and no-one knows how that'll fare, let alone be JL friendly.
And then there's Flash and Hawkman, and etc.

Meanwhile billion dollar Batman sits on the sides waiting ?

JL is a pipedream, a long time away.

I predict anyone who tries to follow up with a Nolan Batman sequel (depsite this being the last in the trilogy) will have a Kingdom of the Crystal Skull type turkey on their hands.
