Thread necromancy commencing...
*Lights incense* *Daubs thread in the blood of a goat* "Arise, thread! ARISE! BY THE POWER OF GUSHUMANCHI I COMMAND THEE ARIIIIISE!" ...thread necromancy complete. So, series 5 of The Guild has just started on YouTube. So, how come I've already seen it? Confused.

...because it was already shown on other websites such as Bing but YouTube didn't have it until now? I could never find any eps on YouTube until the Geek & Sundry channel was created. I think they had a deal with another website to show it there first.

Well, series 6 started yesterday. Interesting start. Not sure I like Codex's new job, but it looks like she's going to have a tough time of it, so that's okay. As long as she sucks really hard at it, I'm sure it'll be fine.

And series 6 finished this week, and I have to say that over all I wasn't too impressed. I've never really liked it when they go into the game world because it's not scripted like people interacting in a game world. They read body language, facial expressions, etc. which don't exist in an MMORPG (or, at least, unless you type in or press a bound emote). It's more akin to Tron, which doesn't work for me within the fiction of the show.
And I have to say, it's always disappointing when the author of something goes down the route of having a go at people who criticise them. Sure, there are plenty of trolls on the internet, but it feels self-indulgent for an author to have a go at their critics, and ends up making the author look bad, rather than the critics. Definitely the worst season so far. On the plus side, although I said I didn't like the in-game stuff, iJustine was brilliant as an NPC, and I did like Zaboo's plot with her.
