Thought I'd give this thread a bump seeing there are now 41 days until the S2 premier.

Also, if anyone's missed them, HERE are the recently released publicity shots HBO posted about a week ago (and yes I'm pimping my blog as well). Some great images of returning S1 cast as well as the new to S2 major cast members like Stannis, Melissandre, Brienne (finally!), Davos and Balon Greyjoy.

Just picked up the Season 1 Blu-Ray :-D

Also, our first proper look at a Season 2, CGI-enhanced direwolf.

Plus, THE SIMPSONS does a GAME OF THRONES-style intro.

I'm rewatching S1 on Blu-Ray now. It's a really good transfer, excellent quality. I'd forgotten just how spot on it all was. Bran climbing is heartbreaking; can't wait for S2!

I cannot wait for Tyrion versus Cersei.

Also, I get my bonus this coming pay day so will definately treat myself to season 1 blu ray.

Picked up series 1 on DVD yesterday and have now watched 2 episodes. At last, at bloody last, I can watch it

This is brilliant stuff, and given that it's been a few years since I read book one, it's made me keen to get it and re-read it!

There are quite a few moments where I get a definite thrill watching it... Dragon Eggs; Dire Wolves; Peter Dinklage as Tyrion is superb; as is Maisie Williams as Arya; as is... well, you get the idea.

Love it.

I also like the crib sheet in the DVD box showing the family trees... helps my liddle grey cells keep track of who is related to whom!

Considering what happens to him that looks more like SPOILER Yoren SPOILER than Ned Stark.
