I'm sure this has been mentioned before somewhere, but have you seen the very good Manga t-shirts available in Uniqlo at the moment? I might have to pick myself up a Gundam one. And, as an added bonus, they come in this cool little plastic tube box thing!

Oh, and I'm currently watching Laputa: Castle In The Sky. I haven't seen it since I was about 8, it holds up pretty well.

Nah, "neko genki wai" doesn't actually mean anything sensible (possibly "cat happy yay!", and that's being generous). But it's the sort of nonsense you hear being spouted by people who've watched a few hours of anime and convinced themselves that they now know Japanese.

Mean anything to me? I snuck it into a Couch Potato once.

part way through season 3 of naruto...loving the fact he's learnt how to control the nine tailed fox and finally finished eureka 7....and almost cried

Ah season 3, loved the fight between Shikimaru and Tamari; one of my favourite moments in the series.

I confess (and have probably said this before) that I find the Naruto Manga far superior to the Anime. The Anime repeats itself a hell of a lot, and I tend to sit though a whole disk at once rather than watch an episode then walk away, so it just frustrates me.

Yeah, by the end of the first season, there were so many increasingly lengthy "Previously, on Naruto" bits, I wondered if there should be an option to just watch the whole series seamlessly without them...

That and the amount of times he goes "Believe it!", up to five times in a single scene... Something he doesn't do in the Manga.

igniz13 15-05-2008 02:09 PM

I have both Manga and Anime and I have no idea where the "believe it" comes from.

The pace seems to vary between the two though.

You can buy a manga filled with one half of a battle but have that same battle spread across one episdoe; or have some lengthy story section in the manga take up half of one.

It is a quite protracted series but I do like the Animé version; easier to follow in some scenes and more dramatic as well.
