That's a really good find, so it is! I've heard so much good stuff about Planetes, and it seems right up my alley. I'm in two minds about R1 anime though -- although I do like to support the UK anime industry, they're just so amazingly cheaper on Region 1 (well, before Mr. Customs Tax comes and wrecks my day...), and pretty much every series seems to get the box set/thinpak treatment...

On the other hand, I'm chuffed to bits that I shunned the R1 version and waited for this...

Uwaah! Okay, pay day is in, well, twenty minutes -- Gonna nab me some of that! Ah, I'm actually from "oop north", but I'm descended from gaelic and native american, and my accent goes out of control when I'm drunk...

United Publications don't charge Customs Tax - at least they haven't hit me with any yet. :o As for Azumonga Daioh, I'm not really sure if it'd be worth seeing straight after Pani Poni Dash - is it different enough?

As for supporting the UK industry, my head says it makes sense but my wallet says otherwise.

Kurau Phantom Memory.

It's scary - At times I feel like I'm getting too emotionally involved, just shows what a good storyline can do to a person - wouldn't surprise me if I'm close to tears by the end of the series. Christmas is just so adorable!

What I'm watching at the moment... the fantastic Gundam 00

I tried Gundam Seed when it was shown at Sheffield Anime, but couldn't much get into it since it seemed to focus far more on the angst of teenage boys than on the politics of the situation and, of course, the mechs.

Gundam 00 caught my attention immediately and I'm loving it so far. Interesting politica and enough characterisation to keep it really interesting, without being overwhelming. And no angst so far :D

Guyver

Hack

Cowboy bebop
Bleach (but with original Japanese)
Beast Wars 2.0

I shouldn't think so -- the series sort of ends after the first season, and is remade afresh in the second, and I can't see much being resolved in the 26 eps they made. I gave up on the manga, as there were far too many characters, and the repetitive fan-service was bordering on hentai -- a big disappointment really, considering how sweetly Akamatsu-san wrapped up Love Hina

ELEMENTAL gelade disc 4 and saiyki reload disc 6, is it wrong to have a crush on a cartoon character!
