Boy does a lot of waiting...

I dunno, maybe i'm just an emo kid at heart, but i was totally sold on that show - even if majoity of dialogue was the words "shuji" and "chise"... works a LOT better in japanese though - in english it kinda started to grate...

Don't get me wrong, the ending had me choked up, and the scene with Shuji's mate (can't remember her name now, dammit! Atsumi? :? ) had me close to tears. But sometimes it was just too much to take seriously, and was in danger of parodying itself IMO. Especially the 'next ep' voiceovers.

But overall I completely loved it! :) I'd like to see more shows like that, if there are any...

Yeah, I loved it -- it's one of those shows you really care about the characters and really relate to them - I can't explain it, but She/Saikano really spoke to me...

Recently finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist as it was worth buying all 13 DVDs.

Currently working my way through Angelic Layer as I got the set cheap recently at the London Expo. It's very cute, but the whole show's one big tournament which make an action junky like me very happy! It's, somewhat surprisinlgly, very good.

got daiguard returned to me recently... taking a slow re watch, and having fun. Great premise with good execution... and the OP song is great too.

I can't help but compare Dai Guard to Evangelion, as it has a very similar premise, but isn't DaiGuard just nicer to watch? The absence of all the controversy is a breath of fresh air - don't get me wrong, I think Evangelion is sublime, but there's only so much angst one can take!
I've just got the Gunslinger Girl box set -- it's all good, even if the overall premise is kinda disturbing...

I think its the way daiguard has an essentially goofy premise (monster destroying mech owned by a private firm and piloted by office drones from the PR departrment) and yet manages to keep it very real - acknowledging stuff like how much its going to cost to run, what happens to all the people who's homes have been destroyed, and the fact daiguard itself is possibly the most un-super robot in existence.

Which makes moments like the pilot pulling the arm off to use as a home-made rocket punch oh so very special.

I just got back into Bleach after... far too long not watching it... (For which you can blame the prescence of the bleach musicals...)

Take note Naruto-people, THIS is how to do a long filler arc.

The Mod Souls are cool... Actually anything even remotely connected to Urahara is cool, heehee. I don't think there's a caracter I don't like... except perhaps in a love-to-hate way and even that only extends to one character...

I've just bought the first series of Ghost In The Shell from an importer in town (£30 - seemed a good deal?). I haven't had a chance to start watching it yet, but I'm really excited about looking at the shiny DVD's and coverart.
