Paranola agent, one the finest shows i've seen since blood.
blood+ on the other hand is standard, bland, schoolgirl fighting demons i've seen to often to care (shame). one to mention is 'voices from a distant star', lovely peice of animation - can't wait for his next work.

other shows -

appleseed, milennium actress, perfect blue, spirted away, steamboy, fanal fantasy (last order and advent children), kite (director's cut), princess mononoke, samural 7 and the excellent tenchi in tokyo. just to many to mention.

i'm still having a ghibli marathon. these films do not get boring, always picking up on something new everytime i watch them.

The Place Promised in our Early Days is out on DVD in October, if my memory serves me correctly :)

GITS:SAC soundtrack album arrived this morning. Bloody excellent it is too!

I see the Paranoia Agent boxset is out in October. I'll be getting that. Hopefully more series will start getting the boxset treatment. I'd love to get Lain, Tsukihime and Haibane Renmai.

A Lain box set is due for release in October. Might be a bit of a wait for Tsukihime and Haibane Renmei though!

On-topic, I've recently started rewatching Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu. It's every bit as bonkers as I remember.

Thanks for that Leah!

Funny thing with watching GitS:SAC is that, when I rewatched the original film last night, it made perfect sense. There were things I was always unsure about in the original GitS - y'know, generally not quite understanding what's happening and getting the feeling I was missing a lot of background detail.

I've turned my parents (59 and 69 respectively!) into anime fans with SAC and they understood the film too. I'll be interested to rewatch Innocence on the back of GitS:SAC now. Looking forward to seeing 2nd Gig and Solid State Society!!
