I saw it when I was younger too (old Sci-Fi Channel rocked) but it is unexpected to say the least.

I think I'll borrow it and re-watch it this week.

I just recently started watching Anime - I discovered it when Vandread popped up as a recommendation on Netflix. I watched an episode, was intrigued by the story, watched another, and now I appear to be hooked. Within a week, I've watched all of Vandread, gone through Heroic Age and am now onto Fullmetal Alchemist.

Try Black Lagoon, Deadman Wonderland or Hellsing instead, they may actually want to watch those.

What I've been watching..

Gintama - watch it
Sket Dance - almost a sister show to GIntama but in a school setting. Nice show but not amazing.

Will be watching Hunter X Hunter and Fairy Tail as soon as possible.

I completely missed the boat with Dominion -- I think it was the cover which put me off, but I was always told by people later on that it was amazing. Do those first four episodes hold up? I hated Manga Video's decision to release the late, post-episode 4 episodes one-by-one, for £5.99 each! What, did they think kids were just crapping money?

I've been watching Fairy Tail on Funi's you tube channel. It started off entertaining enough but not exactly amazing. At some point in the first 20-odd episodes it became the show I stay up til 2am watching cause I need to see what happens.

Erza is possibly one of my favourite anime characters ever.

I felt the same way, I started reading the Manga and just didn't care but after a while it just grew on me. Ezra is f'ing amazing.

I'm in the middle of her backstory arc right now~ I love the closeness of the characters. The way they all rally round each other is absolutely my favourite thing about the show.
