Have you ever read the original manga? They changed some interesting stuff, not least that the Cat King's kingdom is explicitly the cat afterlife.

Tower of Druaga

Weird anime based on an old video game but it's a good series. Very mixed, with some randomness mixed with fantasy battles.

Blood the Last Vampire, it was decent enough. Was this supposed to be the pilot for a series?

The dub on this is very interesting, the Japanese sections (ie two Japanese people speaking Japanese to each other or internal monologues) are in Japanese with subtitles and the parts with the Americans are in English. Has anyone come across anything like this before?
