Just watched Howl's moving castle and it's amazing, although I do prefer Spirited away.

I am also making my way through Chobits and Escaflowne, both of which have completely captured my imagination. Can't wait for the final disc of Chobits to be released.

Hopefully Neon Genesis Evangelion will be with me next week.

my latest one is called Aquarian Age: Sign For Evolution, it apparently based on a trading card game in japan and appears to be about a rock band trying to make it big justerposed with a battle between diminsions taking place on earth, it's ok but i'm watching it, but not enjoying it. i think all this anime is spoiling me, back when i was young i was so grateful for anything it was automitically good!

I just rented the first volume of Burst Angel... a girls, guns'n'mecha anime so relentlessly generic it couldn't possibly be parodied. The animation was OK but the plots and dialogue were so hackneyed that even though they provided a semi-decent English dub, I was forced to watch the J-language track to spare my ears from the force of cliche. Think I'll stick with Planetes.

You should see some of the stuff I have. 3 plush Totoros of different sizes, a catbus statue, 2 susuwatari (one of the Totoro ones and a Spirited Away one), a Porco Rosso model, a (as yet unassembled) Laputa Ornithoptor vinyl kit among other things. It's amazing what you can find if you shop about a bit.

Me and a mate were trying to describe them to another mate who's not seen the movie - "well, think of the front end of a Ford Model T stuck on a jetski with dragonfly wings". We had to stop; he was backing away so fast he'd've gone out of the window any second.
