Most anime series change openings/endings every series/story arc. Bleach has some pretty good openers. Either opener 5 or 6 is the best :D

Well I have no idea which ones 5 or 6 are (as I've only seen 2), but the first one really struck me with its visual flair and mixtures of styles.

Haven't seen the second Deathnote opener but the 1st one has more drama than most TV shows ever will. **** Eastenders, I want to watch the Deathnote intro again.

Anime intros, even though they change - are usually more remarkable than any western show.

The difference between the openings and endings on Western TV shows and on anime is that record companies use anime openings and endings as a means of free advertising for new singles, which doesn't happen so much in the West.

I've found a lot of great new listening material thanks them doing that.

That's not the only difference though, the differences in style between typical shows are often staggering. Okay so some Anime's can seem like a pop video, and the song used is obviously different, but they still stand out.

The first Bleach opener for example: There's the stylistic use of characters and examples of fashion, the various different artistic styles used throughout, the constant push of text upwards, etc. Just lots of little techniques and shots that not only look good but also give some small insight into the characters before they've even been introduced and add to the flare of Bleach.

The second opener is a bit crap in comparison, but the first one really stands out for me, and now its gone.

This is true, but since I was responding to Hannigaholic's comment about changing opening themes, it was the only difference that mattered :P

just finished naruto season 4 disc 3, willing to bet he wins that necklace

igniz13 06-10-2008 11:32 AM

Waiting on:
Naruto S4 vol2
Samurai Gun Boxset.
DeathNote vol 3

Actually a few boxsets have been coming out, mostly older series, hopefully more complete boxsets will be on the horrizon.

Also re-watching Haruhi in different orders and in Japanese, I was having Haruhi withdrawal symptoms, and still no sign of a new series.

just finished watching mar set 2, not a bad series. has a naruto theme to it.

Finished watching Blue Gender and it did get good towards the end. I think it would have worked better as a shorter series as the first half of the series is very repetitive.

Can't wait to find out what happens in Death Note vol.3, I've watched vol. 1 & 2 twice in the last couple of weeks.
