Several 'Chi's Sweet Home' episodes, and I am sure those parents shouldn't be leaving a child of Youhei's age home alone. But the storm episode was cute, and later with the dad all happy about getting to play with Chi.

Just caught up on the manga and holy crap, you weren't wrong! I really enjoyed the huge leap back in time too.

Also my Naruto Season 1 arrived today and I'm 7 episodes in. So far, so good :)

I don't see why not. I've seen a child Youhei's age travelling alone on the Tokyo Metro, going home from school, and she was okay.

Finished season 1 of Naruto. I enjoyed it a lot, but Sakura really is a waste of screen time. She just doesn't do anything.

I finally bought myself a proper, English language edition of The Mysterious Cities of Gold. Not only is nostaltastic, the storyline and animation is very good even now - much better than other stuff from the time like Thundercats.

ok been off board for a while due to external circumstances but here's what i've been watching

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Vol.1, love the narration and episode 00 was hysterical

Guyver - The Bioboosted Armour - Vol.5 not bad, extrame violence angst and all that

Gunbuster 2 ok i've been looking forward to this anime for ages since the original gunbuster has a strong place in my heart but i was so disappointed with this

Tsubasa Vol. 4

Black Lagoon - Vol. 2 loving Rock at the moment

Mar - Vol.1, the first three disc and all are excellent

Gravitation Vol.1 loving this storyline

And she knows it, it grates with her at times but come shippuden she toughens up a lot.

I thought the Gunbuster sequel was one of the only things I've ever seen that managed to honour the legacy of a classic series and add something of its own. It helped that the script was by Yoji Enokido, who IMO is one of the only real geniuses working in the field of anime scriptwriting (check out Revolutionary Girl Utena for a real head-melting experience). Also, and I'm not kidding around here, Nono is love.

maybe i was putting too much into it, Nono was a good character, and her well no spoilers here but as i hadn't read much into it i was hoping it to be about Noriko Takaya from the original gun buster and her return to earth. the last episode was espically the last 10 minutes did capture the original but sadly a good gunbuster but not my gunbuster!

Toughens up would be an understatement, she's very scary and not to be messed with (unless you want to be put through a wall that is)
