RANT: Had to sign on at the job centre for only the second time in my life and what a thoroughly demoralising experience that was but on a RAVE note, the interviewer I had to process my claim was really helpful and provided me with a restricted agreement allowing me to look for part-time work instead of full-time like the government would like me to.

RAVE: Seen quite a few things I can apply for already.

RAVE: Got my costumes sorted for the weekender and I can't wait! If anyone I know from here is reading this and needs a lift then let me know, I'm happy to pick up anywhere on my route between Milton Keynes and the venue in Wales!

RAVE: Being off work means catching up with good TV that I have missed. Really enjoying Person of Interest, in particular.

RAVE: Finally purchased the coat I need for one of my costumes, and it's the one I really wanted!

A couple of minor alterations and it's good to go :D

RAVE: The costuming is coming along nicely, hope I have it finished in time

RAVE: a sneaky preview pic of my weekender costume exists 'pon the web (I shall says not where so that it remains a pleasant surprise for most of you ^¬~) and somebody tweeted it to the actress who plays the character - 'twould appear that she loves it, so yay! ^.^ *dances the happy dance*

Again the weather is bringing it large with the sky-dandruff. Thisnis both a RANT and a RAVE because snow is:

RAVE: Awesome, but
RANT: A complete pain in the hoop. Also, this is not rich, fluffy snow, the snow of larky snowball fights and Victorian Christmasses; no, this is weak, watery stuff, triple-dip recession snow, the last crumbs out the bottom of the box. And frankly the weather looks like the suicide of hope.

So, more RANT than RAVE there, then. Surprise!

RAVE: This morning I received my first ever Valentine, a beautiful rose in a vase and chocolates. I am totally over the moon :)

RAVE: Costumes are almost completed, just waiting on delivery of one item :)

RAVE: Loving my new(ish) car, the dash is huge and I feel like I'm flying a shuttle :)

RAVE: 14 days to geekcamp! :)

All in all, this week is turning out pretty well!

Lol, Gavin's from Derby but yes, never had a card, or flowers, or any form of affection before.
