RAVE: My mum dug out all these photos for my 18th, and I was unbelievably cute when I was little.

RANT: I still look very similar, but now it's just creepy.

ANOTHER RANT: She dug them out for my 18th birthday. More precisely, my 18th birthday PARTY. She's up to something...

I'd watch it if I were you. When it was my 18th, my mum took a load of old photos to one of those places that makes up a video of a photo montage along with a cheesey musical backround which she enjoyed showing off to previous girlfriends. My wife saw it and pissed herself but she married me anyway, though god knows why after that embarrassing episode...

I have them all on video. But they are much watched. The tracking on my Definate Article seems to have gone completely (I'd send it ya if you really wanted it though?) and the sound on Glorius is a bit dodgy in places. Will be great to have new copies!

I know three male-to-female transsexuals. Two of those, I knew through the period that they were undergoing gender reassignment and I know the things they've been through - oh, and no, it wasn't all free on the NHS, incidentally.
I wonder why that one was then. Is there a post code lottery when it comes to sex changes.

I don't even know where to begin on your attitude towards depression. That's clearly yet another thing you have no understanding of whatsoever, but are determined not to let a little thing like a lack of insight get in your way. And you wonder why transsexuals seem to be "emotional and psychological train wrecks" (which not all of them are, I might add, but heaven forbid you should actually gain some decent evidence to back up your attitudes)?
I have known people who have suffered from depression. But not one of them had the sort of problems that people face every day in less developed areas of the world, their lives were not in danger. They lived all in all quite comfortably.
All I was saying was that depression tends to occur where people's most basic needs, to be safe, to be fed etc are met and we can worry about relationships, money or the other things that people get depressed about.

And I will forwith make friends with a transsexual and a manic depressive so that I can have an informed opinion.
Any takers?
