2012 Release Delayed
Sony has moved the release date of director Roland Emmerich’s latest disaster epic, 2012, from July to November, reports Variety. Sony is adamant that the movie is not behind schedule, and that the decision was made because the company is already releasing a number of other blockbuster movies in the summer, including Da Vinci Code sequel Angels And Demons, remake The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three and Terminator: Salvation (for which Sony has international distribution rights). 2012 will now open on the weekend in November that Sony has reserved for the past two Bond releases.

Whedon’s Cabin Casting
Casting is underway on The Cabin In The Woods, the horror film co-written and produced by Joss Whedon for his old Buffy/Angel cohort Drew Goddard to direct and co-write. According to The Hollywood Reporter Richard (Six Feet Under) Jenkins and Bradley (The West Wing) Whitford will play white-collar co-workers with a mysterious connection to the cabin. Goddard, who also wrote Cloverfield, promises that the film will be a new twist on an old horror cliché, joking that: "It's really just your basic typecasting: When you need two actors to run through the woods in low-cut nighties, you immediately think of Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford."

Chuck Showrunner Hedging His Cancellation Bets
Chuck exec producer Josh Schwartz has told Entertainment Weekly's Mike Ausiello that the second half of the show’s second season crams "three seasons’ worth of stories into the next 10 episodes," because there’s no guarantee of a third season.

Is it bad that I find the mental image of Bradley Whitford in a nightie oddly alluring? ;)

In all seriousness, am quite excited about both the casting and creative team behind The Cabin, sounds like a lot more than the usual horror schlock and I will have to give it a go, even if I spend most of the film with my hands over my eyes.

Sad that Chuck may not last the season. It's really come into its own this year with some very funny and genuinely moving in part stories. You do wonder how Charmed could last millennia and yet other genre shows just aren't given the time to flourish.

i just don't understand why shows that are good, not to mention very successful in Chuck's case, are so close to being cancelled. It just doesn't make any sense what so ever.

When are simon cowel and all the other reality TV dick heads gonna do the world a massive favor and jump of a cliff together?

So is it 2010 or 2012?
