The Fannish Inquisition is back, and this time we’re giving you the chance to put your questions to James Marsters. He’s best known for playing punkish vampire Spike in Buffy and Angel, but hanging up his fangs hasn’t meant the end of his SF and fantasy career. He’s also played Brainiac in Smallville, voiced Lex Luthor in the Superman: Doomsday cartoon and, most recently, proved more than a match for Jack Harkness as rogue-ish Time Agent Captain John Hart. Then there’s his appearance in next year’s Dragonball movie and his music career - all in all plenty to talk about… So if you want to know whether he’d ever play Spike again, if he’ll be returning to Torchwood, or just want to ask who’d win in a scrap between Spike and Captain John, send us your questions and we’ll put them to him. I love your work, especially in Buffy, Angel and Torchwood, and I just wanted to know if you enjoyed meeting up with the rest of the cast for Buffy and whether there was any talk of a reunion on the big/small screen for a series or movie type thing.

Following on from that.. Is there a stunt you've done in any show that you've really regretted doing the next morning ie when the bruises,aches come up?

Im curious to know his feelings towards playing in a DC comic based series (Smallville) and playing in a Japanese Manga- movie adaptation (Dragonball) .. There are similar points between the too .. even though he didnt play the hero but a vilain in both; It would be interesting to see what makes one or the other more interesting of a role to play . .. in other words which character is more intriguing(and why) between Brainiac/Milton Fine and Piccolo .

You probably don't know this but right now there are plenty of websites AGAINST the filming of Dragon Ball specially since a picture appeared indicating Goku will attend an High School or something like that. You said recently you and your son are Dragon Ball fans... so the question is, will this really be a Dragon Ball movie or will it destroy the original spirit of that manga?

Spike was meant to die during season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But your character was loved and ended up becoming a regular. You were also asked to do more Smallville and Torchwood. My question is how does it feel to go on shows that was only suppose to be a certain amount of episodes but asked you to do more? You are a wonderful actor so why shouldn't they.
What can you tell us about your role in Dragonball or about the movie?
You have done a lot of fight scenes? What do you think has been the hardest fight scene or the fight scene that you left you sore and bruised the most.

My question for James concerns his role in Dragonball. What color is your costume going to be? What's the actual runtime of the movie, 100 mins or 120 mins? Is it going to be an R-Rated or a PG-13 film? Is there going to be any blood in the fight scenes? Do you die in the movie? Do you wear a turban? Last question, Do you think it's going to be awesome? I think's it's going to f****** rock!!!

Supposedly if the movie was coming to have success (i hope!!) are they going to do a trilogy? don´t have to be 4 movies as minimum? for that they are piccolo, freezer, cell and majin boo.

So I dare to ask: why is it that you keep turning up in the sci-fi corner? Now I'm aware of the stupidity of my question, most obvious answer to it being: 'Cause those are the roles I've been offered.' But: aren't you up to something else?
