More Visitors from Terminator Future
Sarah Connors exec producer Josh Friedman has told Sci Fi Wire that there will be more visitors from the future in the second season of the show, as well as more scenes set in the post-apocalyptic future. The show will visit one of the locations from the original Terminator movie and re-use an iconic prop as well.


HBO Plays with Ice and Fire
SyFy Portal is reporting that US channel HBO has bought the rights to develop a series based on GRR Martin’s epic A Song Of Ice and Fire series of books.

The Family Guy Strikes Back
Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy has revealed that the follow up to the series spoof of Star Wars, Blue Harvest, will turn its attention to The Empire Strikes Back. "Lando is played by Mort Goldman, who is the Jewish guy who lives up the street," MacFarlane says in an interview reported on Sci Fi Wire. "We figured black guy, Jewish guy, why not?" Also, "Boba Fett is played by the giant chicken."

Rock Coalition
The lead singer of rock group stellarstar*, Shawn Christensen, has written a script for a sci fi movie, Karma Coalition, which has been snapped up by Warner Bros, reports Variety. It’s about a falsely-accused fugitive who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his wife's death before the world comes to an end. The Fugitive meets the LHC conspiracy? Warners is apparently fast-tracking the project.

Devastating Transformation
Transformers site TFW2005 reckons that Devastator, a robot which is created from seven vehicles combined will be appearing in Transformers 2.

Can't wait for the second Family Guy Star Wars Spoof, i loved Blue Harvest. Be quite happy when Season 7 comes out on DVD on 10th November.

AIUI Devastator in the movie won't be multiple transformers merged but just one really, really big one. That seems to be borne out by the size of the wheels in the design - you'd expect lots of small ones in a combined TF not a normal number of HUGE ones.

My guess is that Devastator's vehicle form is one of those massive trucks you see at quarries.

Oooh Ice and Fire TV series. Could be fab, could be aweful (still shuddering at the memories of Hallmark's dreadful Earthsea series). Hopefully they'll let GRRM do the script and give it a decent budget. Mind you, that would mean he would take even longer to finish the next book. Grrrr..

Avoiding Transformers (I sucsessfuly avoided spoiles last time and will do today... I hope) I hear that Sarah Connor Chronicals took a pounding in viewers last episode... any news on that?

Must be a slow news day.

HBO announced they bought the rights to Fire & Ice in Jan 2007. They just haven't done anything with it.
